Ms. Rocky Brown (this is her stage name – her real name is Maria Raquel Higa) is originally from the Philippines, where she was a top recording artist there, garnering two number one gold singles. She was in the original New York Broadway cast of “Miss Saigon” for decades, and was also “Ky” in the TV show “Another World.” She has performed extensively in New York, the Philippines and in Hawaii, including a concert at Carnegie Hall. Ms. Brown performs in many venues in Honolulu and makes her home here with her husband, well-known jazz trumpeter DeShannon Higa.
